Lord Upjohn Lecture

Annual Lord Upjohn Lecture

Lord Upjohn was the first President of the Association of Law Teachers. He served in that role from 1966 until he died in 1971. Lord Diplock delivered the first Lord Upjohn lecture in his honour in December that same year. Since then the lecture has been an annual event and many of the lectures have subsequently been published in the Association’s Journal, The Law Teacher: The International Journal of Legal Education.

A book containing 11 Lord Upjohn lectures with contemporary responses was published in 2016.
