Stan Marsh Bursary

The Association of Law Teachers is delighted to announce the bursaries for the Cardiff Conference 2015.

A. This bursary is open to any teacher of law in the HE or FE sector who is attending their first conference and is unable to secure full conference fees from their employing institution.

B. This bursary is open to any teacher teaching law (in its widest sense) in a school or college of Further Education and is unable to secure full conference fees from their employing institution.

C. This bursary is open to any student on a ‘D’ level programme investigating/researching legal education (in any jurisdiction).

Each bursary will cover the full costs of the conference plus accommodation and reasonable travel expenses (the total cost of the bursaries is capped so travel costs may have to be agreed on an individual basis once the total costs to the Association are known). Delegates should complete a registration for the Conference before 31st January 2015. Please check the box for STANDARD FULL CONFERENCE RATE, and in the details box, please state you are applying for the Stan Marsh Bursary.

By the same date, the application for the bursary, should be emailed to altconference15@gmail.com marked in the subject line as STAN MARSH BURSARY.

The Committee would be grateful if you would also agree to write a short report about the conference for publication on the website during May/June 2015. It is NOT a requirement of a bursary that the delegate is presenting a paper at the conference. Delegates who meet the criteria for bursaries are encouraged to apply for each as relevant. It is possible that part bursaries may be made where two or more delegates are able to secure part funding from their institution. Applicants should state clearly how much funding the institution is able to provide.
